Sensei Tetsuji Nakamura began and his martial arts training in Osaka over 35 years ago. He studied another Goju style of Karate as well as Judo, which he is a 2nd Dan Black belt in. Upon traveling to Okinawa for the first time, he met with Goju-ryu Master Shuichi Aragaki. So taken aback by what he learned, Nakamura Sensei returned to Okinawa to pursue Karate as soon as he completed his university studies. After a period of time Aragaki Sensei introduced him to Master Morio Higaonna. Deciding to make a lifelong commit to protect and master Goju-ryu, he followed Higaonna Sensei to California, Tokyo and back to Okinawa over many years, becoming the Masters private disciple. In 2012, Higaonna Sensei promoted Nakamura Sensei to the position of IOGKF World Chief Instructor. Today Nakamura Sensei is the most in demand Okinawan Karate instructor in the world. There is no one better to lead the 2021 IOGKF World Gasshuku.
Nakamura Sensei is head of the world's largest Okinawan Karate organisation.
Sensei was awarded this grade in 2012 by Supreme Master, Sensei Morio Higaonna in Okinawa.
Nakamura Sensei is a former world champion in Kata and Kumite. He was won tournaments in Okinawa, Japan.
